*The course will be closed for hollow tining of the greens on 5 & 6 December 2011 (Monday & Tuesday).
This operation is WEATHER DEPENDENT to be successful. We will need a minimum of 2 days of total dry condition before the actual operation can commence. This will enable the cores to be pulled out of the greens effectively without increasing the “shock damage” and therefore having the holes filled completely with new sand to enhance better root growth, sub-soil air exchange, increase water percolation rate, enhance thatch breakdown, improve fertiliser uptake by the roots, and alleviate compaction and turf resiliency.
With this, the management will need to set a buffer period from 5 to 8 December 2011 (Monday to Thursday) to complete the task should inclement weather not allow the operation to proceed on Monday and Tuesday. Golf bookings for Wednesday & Thursday, 7 & 8 December 2011 are available on a walk-in basis.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused in this endeavour that cannot be skipped for the betterment of our golf course.
From 1 December 2011, the green fee for weekday afternoon will be reduced to $100, making the green and buggy fee at $120 +7%GST.
Please note that the promotion is applicable for weekday afternoon only. The morning guest fee will remain status quo.
We look forward to golfers bringing their guests to enjoy the above special rate.
| Morning 9-Hole Play on Days with Afternoon Shotgun Events |
Members are allowed to book for 9-hole play in the morning when there is an afternoon shotgun event.
The 9-hole play is available from 8.32am onwards and must be completed by 12.45pm. All players must cease to play at the sound of the siren which indicates the closure of the course for the shotgun.
| Termination of Reciprocal Agreement with Serendah Golf Links |

We hope members have enjoyed playing at the club.
| Termination of Reciprocal Agreement with Meilan Golf Club |

We hope members have enjoyed playing at the club.
| Members' Tee Time Matching Service |
In view of more new members joining the Club, we are pleased to introduce the “Tee Time Matching Service” for weekend slots.
You may write down your name on the form at the Golf Reception and our Member Relations Officer will contact you once there is a match for you.
Golfers who are unable to meet the 3-ball minimum requirement for weekend or public holiday booking may also list your contact no. on a separate form with the Golf Reception so as to enable you and new members alike to form your future grouping for golf. Please note that once listed, we will release your contact no. to members who are having the same issue as you.
| Re-instatement of Reciprocal Arrangement with Jurong Country Club |
We are pleased to inform that our reciprocal arrangement with Jurong Country Club (JCC) will be re-instated from 1 June 2011.
The booking procedures for the reciprocal flights remain status quo. Please note that reciprocal members have to use buggies for their rounds at JCC and the prevailing buggy fee is at $20.00 plus gst per golfer (twin-sharing basis). The use of Golfing Assistants is optional and the GA fee is at $27.00 per golfer (plus gst).
| Review of Golfing Charges |
Due to the steady increase in the cost of chemicals, fertilisers, sand and labour, the cost of maintaining our golf course and operations has risen in recent years. All this while, the management of the Club has been instituting measures to contain these increases. We have held off an increase in our golfing charges for as long as possible and after much deliberation, the Management Committee has decided that a small increase in golfing charges and rates will help to defray some of our golf operating expenses.
We have also thought it timely to bring our golfing charges in line with that of Sports, Social, F&B, Proshop, MSL and monthly subscriptions. Whereas current golfing charges have been inclusive of GST, other expenditures in the Club are quoted/charged without GST. For example, the current buggy fee of $20.00 is made up of $18.69 (net buggy fee) + $1.31 (7% GST). On the other hand, the monthly subscription of $110.00 (Golfing Member) is actually billed at $117.70 inclusive of GST.
As such, with effect from 1 January 2011, the prevailing 7% GST will be added to the current quoted golfing charges and rates, in line with all member expenditure items in their club monthly bill.
The new charges will be:
| Buggy Rental |
$ 20.00 plus GST = $ 21.40 per golfer |
| Morning Green Fee |
$ 75.00 plus GST = $ 80.25 per guest |
| Afternoon Green Fee |
$120.00 plus GST = $128.40 per guest |
| Walk-In Green Fee |
$150.00 plus GST = $160.50 per visitor |
| Weekend Green Fee |
$200.00 plus GST = $214.00 per guest |
| Walkers |
$ 10.00 plus GST = $ 10.70 per walker |
| Tournament Rates |
Future quotations exclusive of GST |
(Note: Social members will be charged 50% of Afternoon Green Fee plus GST and full Buggy Fee plus GST).
The Management Committee wishes to assure member golfers that the new charges remain very competitive against those of other golf clubs in Singapore. It is hoped that members will understand and support this decision so that everyone can continue to enjoy a quality golfing experience on our course.
